Frédéric Lebaron is professor of sociology at the Ecole normale supérieure Paris-Saclay, member of the université Paris-Saclay, where he directs the department of teaching and research in human and social sciences (DER SHS) since September 2020.
He is in charge of the Master's in Contemporary Sociology, a course run by the University of Paris-Saclay in conjunction with Sorbonne University.
He is a member of IDHES-ENS Paris-Saclay.
He cooperates with the Printemps laboratory (UMR CNRS-UVSQ 8085) and with CURAPP-ESS.
He has been elected to the Research Commission of the Université Paris-Saclay (since 2024).
Frédéric Lebaron was president of the French Sociological Association between 2015 and 2017.
